This was a nice article to read this morning. The children who were turned away from an upper crust pool were treated to three days at the Happiest Place on Earth, courtesy of Tyler Perry. Everything from airfare, to food to admission to those happy gates is being covered by the playwright, who is famous for his works “Medea Goes to Jail” and “Meet the Browns. He had watched the children being interviewed on tv, and remembers specifically one child crying after being shunned, and shortly after posted his feelings on his website, tylerperry.com.
The celeb is quoted as saying “I want them to know that for every act of evil that a few people will throw at you, there are millions more who will do something kind for them.”
I was happy to hear that the Creative Steps school (the school that was turned away) is pursuing a federal civil rights law suit against the swimming club.
