Children’s Book Review: The Astronaut Handbook

For any space loving little boy or girl, this book is a keeper. From the very beginning where it shows you what sciences you will have to take in school in order to become an astronaut, to how to you have be able to swim in a space suit, the cute graphics and easy language hook little minds right in.  There is one page dedicated to the space toilet, which, I must admit, is my sons favorite part of the book, without a doubt. And of course, my daughter, being three, is fascinated with that certain page of the book and looooooves talking about where it all goes. We can spend 10 minutes talking about the space potty. The second best page is the one with details about the space suit, a lot of books are either too descriptive and over my kids heads, or not enough, and this one hit the nail on the head, just enough for us. Then of course, a blast off is imminent in the middle of the book. Another favorite part is the discussion about the “vomit comet”. Oh, the conversations that ensue in our household!

So out of our multitude of space books, and I do swear we are honestly at 15+, this one is well worth buying. It is still available on Amazon.com for purchase.

Why is it the "potty" conversations are always the ones that they love? LOL
