Children’s Book Review: Mouse TV

This was actually a library book that my son brought home, and I am now searching for a copy to buy for ourselves. I wasn’t sure that I was going to like it from the title, but there’s that whole “don’t judge a book by its cover” saying that comes into place. I absolutely adored the message that this book sends to children.
The story starts with a family of mice, who always watch TV. But the problem is, they always fight over what to watch. Every mouse child like a different type of show, from action to science to comedy. Each page that shows the specific like of each mouse is done in little frames, and each little frame tells a story, or on some pages, is part of a big story, comic book style.
And if that wasn’t adorable enough, in the middle of the book, the TV breaks. Oh my, what are the little mice to do when there is no TV to watch? Why, experiments, and reading bedtimes stories with papa mouse, putting on plays of their own, and dancing funny dances! So the message is very clear, which is, look at the fun you can have instead of watching it on the TV.
Adorable pictures, fantastic message, A+ from me!
