Organic Cherries

Well I said that I would announce when I found organic cherries and I have…The Real Canadian Superstore is carrying PC organic cherries in store this summer, or at least at the moment, and this week they happen to be on for a mere $2.99 a pound, which is incredibly cheap for organic cherries. BEYOND cheap. actually. That was the price of regular cherries about 2 weeks ago. So I went and loaded up on them yesterday and we are eating them like crazy. Word of warning; they will spoil fast. A few bags in the store had moudly ones in them, so be careful when you buy them.

I took out my normal cherries and compared them to my organic; and was a little repulsed. My organic cherries are dull and flat looking, while my mainstream ones are all beautiful and shiny. Its really unnapealing and disconcerting to realize that shine on my cherries is pesticides and/or other unnatural, and also unknown, substances. The picture featured on this post is the organic cherries, and you can see how dull looking cherries are naturally.
