Natural Peanut Butter

I am always curious, who else is a convert to natural peanut butter as opposed to the normal ones we grew up with? We have been eating it so long, that I forget that it isn’t actually mainstream, and most people I know have switched to the natural instead of the sugared ones. Peanut butter is a huge source of protein for my kids, and I am ever thankful that they aren’t allergic to it.

Natural peanut butter doesn’t contain added sugar or hydrogenated oil in it, and its literally just crushed peanuts in their oil. Which is good for us parents who need to add that protein to our kids diets, its a completely healthy way to do so. I also, after 5 or so years of eating the natural stuff, cannot stomach the normal sugar-laden ones, they literally make me nauseated. And I think its a heck of a lot easier, in my humble opinion, to just start kids on the natural one instead of the sugared. They get used to the taste of it without the sugar, something that took my husband a few months actually when we did the switch. Now he wouldn’t touch the other stuff either!

Anyone else make the switch, and how did you find it? Easy or hard to adjust your tastebuds to the taste of pure peanut?
