Learn Your Phone Number Games

phone

My son is at the age where all this information should be embedded into his little noggin, and here are a couple little games to play with your child to help learn his/her home phone number.  Make small cards, each the same size, and each with a digit of your phone number. This would work as well of course, if you want them to learn your cell phone  number, in case of emergency, or any number that is important for them to know. Or you could just write it on the inside of all their jackets “If found, please return to ….” that works as well.

Game 1 : Memory

Together, set out the phone number in a line on the table. Tell your child to close their eyes, and turn one over. When they open their eyes, work together to figure out which number is blank. This one my son will play for-e-ve-r.

Game 2 : Race

This one requires two sets, and each person jumbles up the cards. You count to 3, and then the first person to get their number in the correct order, wins.

I made it into a song when DS was a toddler.

We made it into a song as well. Our number is kinda tricky, but practice practice practice.
