1. Send your kids outside into the backyard. If they are still in pajamas, this will add an element of fantastic fun that just can’t be beat. My kids think its the greatest thing ever when they get to go outside in their jammies.
2. Get them to collect a container of small items from your backyard. Threaten them with daytime clothes if they even look towards your flowers.
3. Drag them in by their pajamas after an hour, because they just can’t get over the thrill of being outside this early, and the joy of waking up the neighbors. I figure if my neighbors @#$@ dog can bark at 10:30 at night, then I can unleash my kids as soon as the sun cracks over the horizon. Take that. I hope you were out till 4 am and your head feels like a lead football, listening to my kids scream and swing. I digress, back to craft.
4. Get them to glue their finds on a sheet, and voila, easy craft. Bet you also managed to get in a cup of coffee or two while they were outside too!
I like to do this one with that clear sticky tack paper. In the autumn we made trees by using branches we found and arranging fallen leaves around the branches to look like miniature trees.
