Easy Morning Craft – 3-D Hilarity

This one was just darn funny. Kade has a tape fixation, if there is a tape dispenser laying around withing arms reach, he has it, and he’s taping, anything, anywhere. Yesterday was a miserable, cold morning so I just let the kids have at a table full of paper, scissors, assorted crayons and tape for their morning entertainment. And the picture is what Kade came up with. He taped the Playmobil guy (ah, the many uses of Playmobil!) and colored a scene around him. Simple, fast, yet it sparked a conversation about the dimensions of art, how pictures and sculptures differ, so we had a little learning in there are as well.
