Cool Children’s Book Find

When shopping for a birthday present today at Chapters, Mike came across these books. He actually found them because he was searching with the Chapters employee for more books like Polo, and one of these is illustrated by the same person who created Polo, Regis Fuller. They are from a series called Explore Your World.  And best of all, they were in the clearance section. Not so good for anyone trying to find them, but I was very happy with the $4.99 price tag since I bought all 4 that I could find. I am busy loading up on quality items for entertainment on our roadtrip, and they met my requirement of small and packed with entertainment. I have to make everything that I pack count so, so much with the limited space in the car, and these were a great find for us. I have to hide them from curious eyes tho, Kade already spotted them when I bought them with the presents and I had to explain they were going away for the trip. Not a conversation that went over well with a voracious little reader boy.

If you take a look at the pages I took a picture of from the one titled Where Does It Come From?, they are just jam packed with entertainment and things for the kids to look at. Not only will Kade read the info on the pages and be able to spend a lot of time on each page, there are pull tabs and flaps that will entertain Ivy. (tho granted I know not nearly long enough) I took a picture of this one specifically because its about something that Kade asks about ALL the time, where does it come from??  The page about the bathroom shown has not only a flap about where the clean water comes from, you find out how to make soap,what’s in your toothpaste, and where the dirty water goes. ALL questions that curious kids ask at one time or another.
