This video had my daughter laying on the couch, mellowing out and completely entranced. That takes nothing short of a miracle for her, very few shows entertain her like this one did.
The music by Sara Hickman instantly captures your (and your child’s) attention, starting with the enchanting It’s Alright (Acapella), then moving on to the rest of the DVD – “A Slice of Heaven,” “Goop’s In It,” “Big Bird, Little Bird,” “Lily,” “This Heart,” “You Are My Sunshine,” “The Family Tree (You and Me),” “All Things Bright and Beautiful,” “We Are Each Other’s Angels” and “It’s Alright.”
I love how soothing this video is and the age bracket of 1-5 is bang on. THIS is the age you want watching mellow, calming videos accompanied by beautiful music, not ones that are going to wind them up. Truly, this video is worthy of of using up that “tv time” allotment for your parenting break. The songs feature computer animation that ranges from silly to cartoonish, to real life pictures of a family for the song Lily.
Sara Hickman is wonderfully talented in her songwriting and singing and this DVD was an absolute joy to watch with my daughter rather than the usual barrage of goofy characters and loud obnoxious actions.
