The new John Deere Earth Moving action is sure to thrill any little tyke who loves machines, diggers, generally anything with tires bigger than they are!
Earth Moving Action pairs songs, narration and toy versions of the big machines with the real life footage very seamlessly and entertainingly as well. The toy versions of the machinery have scenes where they are shoveling M&M’s at the Big Rock Candy Mountain Quarry, which is wildly amusing to little ones.
Children who aren’t interested in machinery, however, will soon lose attention and wander off, which is the case with my daughter. So if you are purchasing this DVD, make sure that it is for a child who is avidly interested in machines and all things that go. The recommended age is 3 and up, which sounds about right, my 6 year old still enjoyed it, but I would think that 3-6 is the optimum age for this DVD.
The catchy music and toy versions of the machinery certainly help to entertain, otherwise it would just be scenes of real machines puttering around
Scenes of the real footage include front-end loaders moving big rocks in a quarry,a grader plowing snow, excavators hard at work digging dirt, bulldozers climbing hills, you name it, the machine is in this DVD and working hard at it’s job. It also explains what each machine is designed to do and how the child watching can use their imagination and pretend to be operating the machines themselves.
The DVD is 40 minutes long and can be purchased for $14.95.
