Children’s Book Review: Sock ‘n Boots Share

Sock ‘n Boots are two characters who are exactly what they sounds like; Sock is a sock, Boots is a boot. Quite literally, the two fit together like peanut butter and jelly.

These two cute characters are fun, brightly colored and very engaging. The story is a simple yet entertaining one, Sock and Boots love to play together and head out to the park to have some fun.

Unfortunately, the birds get into Sock’s lunch and he has nothing to eat when they are done playing. Boot, being the kind and good friend that he is, shares with Socks, making it a happy day for everyone.

The rhyming verse gives it a good rhythm for reading and I must admit, for simpler children’s books,  I love rhyming text. It just makes it so much more fun to read to kids aloud.
