If only becoming a genius was as easy as reading this delightful book! However, if you are quite determined to become a genius, then picking up this entertaining read will certainly give you a head start. Ha ha, get it ? Head start? Ahem.. never mind, no one gets my humor.
From the very beginning, where your amazing brain is explained simply in a colorful cartoon graphic, to the very end glossary of terms, your child’s brain cells (and yours!) will be going a mile a minute trying to absorb all the information ladled out the book.
Your brain is first dissected into the individual parts and explained in terms that are easy and concise enough for the aimed age category to understand. Interesting puzzles and challenges appear every so often to test out your brainpower and get those neurons warmed up and firing. Everything that has to do with your brain is covered, from your senses and how the brain interprets the signals it receives from various parts of your body, to emotions and creativity.

Since our brain controls everything that we think or physically do, the 192 pages are full of information. Unlike The Human Brain book by the same publisher which is aimed to a more adult audience with very technical information, How To Be a Genius covers the brain using bright, fun illustrations, quirky games, little jokes and brainteasers to capture the attention of a younger age bracket, and it succeeds.
Reading level: 10 – 17 years
