The Captain has Caillou spending a wonderful day with his Grandfather and follows the adventures they have on their day together.
Caillou and Grandpa head to the park, with a special surprise for Caillou tucked under Grandpa’s arm. They hop onto a bus and take a ride to the park, with Caillou trying to guess the contents of the box the whole way.
It turns out to be a boat and Caillou gets to spend the whole day sailing with his friends.
Caillou books are always a delightful, simple story that appeals to kids and this one is no different. They race boats, boats tip, the day was fun and they go home. It may seem bland to adults but children love their days simple, neat, tidy and tied up with a bow.
