Children’s Book Review: Big Babies, Small Babies

Oh, what an adorable  book this is! Filled with pictures of all sorts of animal babies and their parents it is sure to thrill your youngsters like it did mine. My daughter loves this book, and I can see why.

Each animal is featured on a two page spread with wonderful photographs of the babies in nature with their families. Tidbits of information on each animal are on each page, detailing how they hatch, what happens when they are first born, food that they eat and how the parents get it and which parent does what job.

There are pictures of baby birds hatching and being fed by their parents, baby tiger cubs frolicking with each other and even baby crocodiles are adorable hatching out of their eggs.

It is an excellent introduction to animal families for younger children, simple information, beautiful pictures and the “awwww” factor is a plus.
