Back To School Shopping Should Include Hand Sanitizer

If you haven’t thought of this already, and I actually haven’t bought any myself yet,  you should be purchasing hand sanitizer for your  children’s school supplies this fall.  There is going to be added emphasis on hand cleanliness this year due to the threat of swine flu, and sending your child prepared will solve a lot of problems beforehand.

Teachers are also going to be much more vigilant this fall than most as well; school systems are advising them to be on the watch for fever and other symptoms when they arrive at school. Keeping a pre-emptive watch on your child’s health will help avoid that phone call in the middle of your workday to come and get Timmy now, because he has a fever. Schools aren’t going to be as lenient as they once were, letting feverish children stay all day.

Sending the hand sanitizer to school this fall can probably help most kids prevent hand-to-mouth transmission of the germs, but reminding them to cough into their elbows will help halt the spread of germs as well.
