One of my most popular series of blog postings has been on a series of Art Journal pages, which are geared for elementary-age students. I encourage students not only to draw and write next to each other, but also on TOP of each other whenever possible.
I find lots of inspiration online in adult journal pages, and try to pass some of those ideas on to my students. The format seems to work as it has become by far my most popular after-school class.
