Ants on a Log

This is one of Kade’s favorite snacks, and I think it’s because he can make it himself now. I wholeheartedly champion not only his making his own snack, but this choice as well. With natural peanut butter, celery and raisins, he gets a great protein and iron boost, both very needed supplements with his picky rarely-eats-meat habits.

And if you are his little sister, you can pick the raisins off, lick the peanut butter out of the celery and tell your mom you don’t like celery, but insist on full ants on a log everytime, just like big bro.

  • Ooooh I like the butterfly idea! Take pics and send it and I will write post it up for you! That sounds too cute :)

I love Cheese Whiz even though I doubt there is even cheese in it anymore lol!
  • We love them here, too. Too funny about the princess insisting on the same :)

We'll make butterflies, too. Celery with either peanut butter or cheez whiz (I know, I know, cheez whiz is evil), raisins on the body, twisty roundy pretzels for wings and straight pretzels for antennas.
